Service Description: This dataset is part of a project to assess the geothermal resources in onshore Nova Scotia. The objective of this project is to: (i) provide a review of the general types of geothermal resources in Nova Scotia (excluding shallow resources utilized by ground-source heat pumps) with reference to key regional, national and global examples; (ii) provide a preliminary evaluation of the potential and favourability for geothermal electricity generation and heat production across the province; (iii) recommend next steps to further de-risk targeted areas; and (iv) describe the economic case for potential geothermal resource exploration and development in the province.
